Just Living Life

We have just been living life. I guess there are a couple "summer" updates. Jeff got a second job for the summer. For fun, I mean the $8/hr is a lot of money, but more for the fun of it, he is coaching the Casa Grande swim team. He gets up early every morning to "coach" before work then has the swim meets Saturday mornings. He seems to be really enjoying it. Maybe I should pick a job too! I might need to just so we can fill up our cars.
Hayley started swim lessons at the city pool last week and is loving it. Except last week the water was actually cold since our summer really hasn't been too bad yet, so on Thursday she ended her lesson with blue lips, but she still wants to go back.

(Sorry for the bad picture, guess I should take the camera to swim lessons)
Kyrsten wasn't lucky enough to get signed up for swim this year so she hangs out with me and watches from the side. Maybe next year.
Kyrsten is enjoying the toddler life of getting into cupboards and pushing the chair over to the counter to climb up to get into drawers, etc.

Hayley most traumatic life experience probably happened this last Friday. The girls and I went over to my mom's house and with in the first 10 minutes of being there, Hayley stepped on my younger sister's hair straightener and burned her foot. She did get a couple blisters as you can see from the pictures, but the kid screamed for about 2 hours. I thought I was going to take her to the ER to get them to calm her down. She finally calmed down and passed out, most likely from the medicine I gave her to help, and woke up a lot better. Of course she wanted to be carried a lot and milked it for what is worth and more. Then she had a birthday party to go to and magically her foot was better and she was back on it with no problem. Kids are amazing what they will do to play. Then of course when we get back home it hurts again. Anyway, it seems to be healing quickly. I hope the girl never breaks a bone, because the screaming will be worse than anything else. Drama Queen for sure! This was after Jeff popped the blister so it looks a little better than the huge bubble.

Until next time...

Well the swim lessons sound like fun. Sorry about the burn. It is amazing what WON"T keep a little girl from a birthday party. Way to go Jeff on the swim coaching!

Ouch! That would hurt. Isn't it amazing though how they are cured one minute but not the next? Gotta love it!

Fun for Jeff! I am sure he loves being at the pool in the wee hours of the morning again! I love swim lessons...what better way to wear out a 3 year old!

ouch! That hurts sooo bad...but 2 hours is kind of lengthy for the screaming. We need to get together! Let me know what your schedule is like.
