Our summer vacation this year was a trip to San Diego. We had a great time! The girls did well, for kid standards, and we were able to do quite a few things. On Monday we met our friends the Menghini's, who happened to be in CA too, at the the beach. The kids had fun digging in the sand and getting wet. Hayley was happy to see some friends, because she was worried about missing her friends while we were gone. Monday night, we hit Sea World. It is great that during the summer, the parks have late hours and night shows. It wasn't crowded at night and the weather was NICE! On Tuesday afternoon and night we also went to Sea World. We were able to see most of the shows and play at the new Sesame Street kid area. On Wednesday we had another beach day. The beach is always fun and free! Then later in the afternoon we went to the Wild Animal Park where we "Journeyed into Africa" and learned a bunch a fun stuff about bubbles. They had fun places for the kids to play too. Thursday we enjoyed the view and weather at Sea Port Village before driving on home. I definitely miss San Diego already, the weather and scenery is wonderful! I wish we could afford to live there. I can dream!

Wow, I don't think jealous even covers it! How lucky you guys are to be able to go on vacation and have such a fun one!!!!! Your kids are adorable too! Glad it was a successful trip.
I can't believe you were wearing sweatshirts in July. Those San Diego people sure have it rough... Austin and Emma are also glad their friends are back.

You guys have some great vacations. I'm jealous. San Diego is beautiful. I just visited, but only for a day and only with Aspen.
How fun! We love San Diego. That is where we go pretty much every year! We went in March the weekend before the Sesame Street thing opened at Sea World, so we missed that part. Glad you guys had fun!
