I am not sure if anyone cares, but if you are like me and stock peoples blogs, I thought I would write a little update about our dear little baby boy who is snug and happy in my belly! I really never thought he would still be in there at this point. My technical due date is not tell the 24th, but I started with a different due (3/16) in the beginning and made the mistake of thinking of that as my due date. I had two due dates with Kyrsten too. My first due date with her was 9/30 then they moved it back to 10/5 and she came 9/26- four days before the first one, and she came out 8lbs 14oz! So, since this is my third, I just thought he would be early like Kyrsten. My mistake. Now that I am close to my actually due date, I feel like I am over a week! I learned my lesson.
Anyway, the last two weeks I have been dilated to a 3. My doctor was surprised to see me this week, thinking I would have gone in last week. I have another appt. next Tuesday. If I make it to that one, I get to set up an appt. to be induced. I am hoping he will come before than, but am starting to feel like maybe not. So far many of the natural labor inducing techniques are not working. Today I decided to give up and just wait it out. In reality he will be here before I know it. This week would have been most convenient, but what can you do? Hopefully the next post will be a baby announcement!

It's SO FRUSTRATING waiting for them...but I'm still hoping that all of this waiting is because we're meant to have them the same day! :) If you have yours before I do, though, I might have to get upset. LOL!!
The last few days are a killer. Hang in there! Can't wait to "meet" your new little one!

So I know I will be crucified for this comment since I'm a guy and I just don't understand, but I never really understood the due date thing. At best this specific date is an approximation, and no one told the baby that this is the day everyone is waiting for him to come. So if I were a girl I would not put much emphasis in this specific date, but rather use it simply as a generality. By doing this you let the body do its thing, let the baby develop and come when he wants.
Okay, I'm ready for the criticisms females. I know, I know, you are thinking, 'poor Chelsea, she must not get any sympathy from this jerk!'
Katie, by the way, just so you know, I hope Baby Jace comes soon for you. Don't hate me, I hope we can still be friends with you guys....please...!
Oh Heath! You are lucky I am having a good day- JK. I truly think you just have to a be a girl to understand. Once you have crazy hormones and go through the throwing up and the aches and pains, not being able to sleep, and everything else, then you would understand. Maybe if the doctors didn't give us a due date it would be easier, but once they do, it is stuck in your head and you expect the baby to come and you mentally are done! So, maybe doctors should just give us a range instead!? I am sure you will be getting some nice comments:)
Hang in there! The last week (ok month) is the pits, but just think that this is time you would otherwise be changing diapers in addition to being uncomfortable and not sleeping! Good luck and hope he comes soon!
I'm so sorry about the wait Katie. Hang in there just a little bit longer. Can't wait to see what a cute little boy you guys make because your girls are just gorgeous!
